About AIMS
The Auckland Indian Medical Society (AIMS) is a not-for-profit professional community supporting doctors and medical professionals across Auckland.
Established in 1998, AIMS brings together more than 110 members across general practice, urgent care, hospital medicine, specialist services, leadership roles and medical training. We create opportunities for clinicians to connect, learn and support one another throughout their careers.
Our Purpose
AIMS exists to strengthen our medical community through:
- High-quality clinical education and peer-to-peer learning
- Professional networking across primary and secondary care
- Mentorship and support for junior doctors and trainees
- Wellbeing, collegiality and career development
- Community health initiatives and charitable involvement
Our Community
Our membership includes general practitioners, urgent care physicians, hospital specialists, registrars, senior clinicians, junior doctors and trainees.
Whether you are at the beginning of your medical career or have years of clinical experience, AIMS provides a welcoming place to build professional relationships, share knowledge and stay connected with colleagues across Auckland.
Education and Events
AIMS hosts practical educational evenings, clinical presentations, networking events and professional discussions designed to support day-to-day clinical practice.
Our events bring together clinicians with shared interests in primary care, long-term condition management, professional development and improving patient outcomes.
Community Impact
Alongside professional development, AIMS is committed to contributing to wider community health.
We have supported Pasifika health awareness and delivered conferences across the Pacific Islands, reflecting our commitment to collaboration, education and better health outcomes beyond Auckland.
